Petroleum exploration and development activity in Western Australia is subject to the PSLA 1982 for ofshore areas and the PGERA 1967 for onshore areas. This section explains the Title System and some of the applications and permits required.
Exploration Permit
The prime title for exploration under the Commonwealth and State Petroleum codes is the Exploration Permit.
