Mining Act 1978 (WA) Forms

In general terms, compliance refers to the statutory requirements of tenement holders to meet certain conditions and covenants of the particular mining tenement.

Most of these requirements are connected to the anniversary date of the commencement of the term of the tenement.

These conditions and covenants could include any of the following:

• Payment of rent
• Payments of royalties
• Lodgement of Form 5 operations reports
• Lodgement of Form 27 Quarterly Mineral (Excluding Gold) Production Reports
• Lodgement of Form 27A Quarterly Gold Production Reports
• Complying with conditions of grant
• Lodgement of bonds and securities
• Applications for exemptions.

Failure to meet any of the above conditions and covenants could result in the forfeiture of the mining tenement.
