Petroleum and Geothermal Information (WAPIMS)

Western Australian Petroleum and Geothermal Information Management System (WAPIMS) is a petroleum exploration database containing data on titles, wells, geophysical surveys and other petroleum exploration and production data submitted to the department by the petroleum industry. The database also contains information on mineral boreholes drilled in the State.

To get the Introduction to WAPIMS click on the downloadable manual on the right of this page. Note: This system is recommended to run on Windows using Internet Explorer 6 (not Macintosh) otherwise this system will not function correctly.

To run some screens in WAPIMS you will need Java 1.4.1 or higher. Click on the ZIP file located on the right of screen to download Java. Also available for download is an excel spreadsheet giving information on wells and surveys conducted in Western Australia (last updated 18 June 2007).
