Baseline Perceptions Survey of Resources Safety Stakeholders 2010

To establish a robust baseline against which to measure progress towards achieving the aims of the safety reform strategy, DMP commissioned independent research consultants Research Solutions to survey stakeholders in 2010 about their perceptions of Resources Safety’s roles, services and functions.

The survey also sought industry’s view of its own performance in achieving “a proactive, consultative safety culture” and how advanced it is in having the attributes of a resilient safety culture.

The survey was distributed in early November 2010. The research results (see below) have been reviewed by the Resources Safety and where appropriate, action plans have been developed to address concerns raised in the survey.

The industry survey will be conducted biennially to provide ongoing evaluation of safety reform progress.
