DMP draft Annual Environment Report guidelines

The Department of Mines and Petroleum’s (DMP) Environment Branch is inviting comments on its draft Annual Environmental Report guidelines.
Comments will be accepted until Friday April 23, 2010 and a copy of the draft report guidelines is available from the DMP website at http://www.dmp.wa.gov.au/documents/AERGuidelinesDRAFT.pdf
The latest guidelines contain a number of improvements including better tracking of compliance with approvals, and improved alignment with Mining Proposal guidelines with regard to closure planning.
Industry stakeholders have also been invited to comment including the Chamber of Minerals and Energy (CMEWA), Association of Mining and Exploration Companies (AMEC), Amalgamated Prospectors and Leaseholders Association of Western Australia (APLA), Mining Industry Liaison Committee (MILC), Environmental Consultants Association (ECA) and the Conservation Council of Western Australia (CCWA).
