Resources Safety Baseline Stakeholder Perception Research
Thursday, 9 September 2010
As part of the Reform and Development at Resources Safety (RADARS) initiative the Department of Mines and Petroleum (DMP), through research consultants Research Solutions, are undertaking baseline stakeholder perception research in order to evaluate the effectiveness of RADARS.
The research is aimed at identifying current stakeholders’ perceptions of the roles, services and functions of the Resources Safety Division of DMP which will then be used as a baseline measurement for tracking future surveys against.
Qualitative research for stage one has just been completed, with focus groups and in-depth interviews being conducted with representatives from the mining, petroleum and dangerous goods industries. DMP thanks industry members who made the time to provide their valuable input.
The next stage is to finalise the survey questionnaire’s design, following which the quantitative research will be undertaken with the distribution and analysis of the questionnaire occurring during October/November.
If you are contacted by Research Solutions, we encourage you to take the time to complete the questionnaire so we can consider your input.
All responses will be treated by Research Solutions in a confidential manner, with no individual, only collective results, being provided to the department.
