MineSafe out now
Tuesday, 1 May 2012
As the resources industry grows in Western Australia, increasing numbers of operators are looking to MineSafe magazine for updates on workplace health and safety.
The wait has ended for the April issue of the magazine, which is now available online and in hard copy form.
Produced by the Department of Mines and Petroleum, the latest magazine covers a range of mining, petroleum and dangerous goods safety issues, including legislative updates.
Other highlights are articles covering the progress of Resources Safety’s exploration drilling code; the priority targets for the mines safety regulator; risk management for underground explosions; and the ongoing reforms of petroleum and dangerous goods safety regulation.
The magazine also features recently released safety alerts, to raise awareness of some of the issues faced by industry.
State Mining Engineer Simon Ridge said he believed the issue was one of the magazine’s best yet.
“For those operators who aren’t getting their hands on this magazine, I suggest you do – it offers a wide variety of information,” he said.
“There should be something for everyone, so don’t miss it.”
To obtain a hard copy of the magazine, simply contact the Resources Safety Publications Team on (08) 9358 8154 or email RSDcomms@dmp.wa.gov.au
