As the State's lead agency, the Department of Mines and Petroleum (DMP) assists in the responsible development of the State for the benefit of Western Australians. The Geological Survey of Western Australia (GSWA) is a division within DMP that publishes a vast amount of pre-competitive geoscience information on the State, contributing to billions of dollars worth of resources exploration and development.
