Spotlight on a product

Basic Text Spotlight on a product GSWA has been conducting a major review of the diamond exploration and prospectivity of Western Australia during the last few years. Preliminary results were presented by GSWA consultant Mark Hutchison at the 11th International Kimberlite Conference in Gaborone, Botswana in September 2017. The poster presentation – ‘Diamond prospectivity of Western Australia’ – outlined the project background, the methodology, the results of the data review and the results of the prospectivity analyses. Approximately 88,000 exploration diamond samples have been compiled and assessed.

A copy of the poster is now available on the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) website in the eBookshop.

The full package consists of a GSWA Report (Diamond exploration and prospectivity of Western Australia), an extensive diamond digital dataset presented on a USB, together with a GSWA Record that is an explanatory note to the digital data. These are planned for release during November 2017.
