The area on application for an Exploration License is defined by 1 minute geographical blocks. The area can be defined using the same textual based process that is currently applicable to the paper based form 21, as shown in the diagram below.

Or by spatially selecting the individual 1 minute graticule blocks that define the application area.

When this selection method is used the Form 21 attachment 2 is automatically generated as part of the eLodgement  process

Note: Tengraph online can still be used to define the application area, however this is a separate process and the generated attachments 1 & 2 will need to be uploaded to the eLodgement process.

 


Enter the locality and select the method (Yes/No) that you wish to use to define the application area.


 

Note: If you receive a system message when moving to Step 5 - Area, that says "The eLodgement spatial service is currently unavailable. Refer to help and contact the Service Desk", you can move back to Step 4 - Locality, select 'No' and then continue with your application using the textual selection process.
