The Native Title tab displays all information concerning the Native Title process affecting mining tenements.
Native Title Referrals
The Native Title Referral section tracks the progress of the tenement through the native title process. This section displays:
- Referred to Native Title Date
- Referral Type
- Current status/progress through Native Title Process\
- Current procedure
Complete Native Title Information is not available for all Tenements/Amalgamations. Where this information exists, complete details will be displayed.
Where there is multiple entries for a tenement, select referral by row (by clicking in the grey area of the results) to show details for each referral type.
Referred to Native Title Date
This is the date that the tenement begins in the native title process.
Referral Type
The referral type can either be a tenement application or an amalgamation. This section displays this information.
Current Status
The status of the tenement can be any of the following
- Not yet referred to native title
- Awaiting notification
- Expedited procedure
- Infrastructure procedure
- Right to Negotiate
Details of Native Title will only be displayed once the tenement is past its notification date.
Procedure Details
This tab displays the following information
- Sec 29/24MD Notification Date.
- Sec 29/24 Notification Close date.
- Procedure Outcome.
- Proposed area to grant.
- Centroid details.
- Locality of tenement.
- Purposes ( If applicable).
Objections
List all native title objections that have been lodged against the tenement.
Claims
Displays details of claims that affect the tenement application.
Determination Areas
List details of Determination Areas that affect the tenement application.
Aboriginal Representative Area Bodies
Displays the Aboriginal Representative Area Body for the tenement.
