The latest copy of Resources Safety Matters is now available to download and in hard copy

The latest edition of the Department of Mines and Petroleum’s Resources Safety Matters magazine is out now.

In this issue we take a look at the latest stakeholder perceptions survey. The survey is held every two years to track industry’s perception of Resources Safety’s performance as a safety regulator.

There’s also a feature on new safety legislation which is being drafted. The new work health and safety bill for mines will continue modernising safety legislation in WA.

We remind Dangerous Goods Security Card holders to renew their cards before they expire to avoid suspension of associated dangerous goods licences, and there is a feature on drum safety following the tragic incident in Queensland earlier this year.

The magazine covers a range of mining, petroleum and dangerous goods safety issues including safety alerts, guidance and legislative updates and as always, Resources Safety Matters includes significant incident reports and safety bulletins published since the last issue.

To obtain a hard copy of the magazine, simply contact the Resources Safety Publications Team on (08) 9358 8154 or email RSDcomms@dmp.wa.gov.au

An electronic copy is also available.
