Reporting results of atmospheric sampling

Who can report results?

Contaminant sampling is undertaken on site by an authorised ventilation officer or technician. After the registered manager has reviewed each sample, the results can be submitted via the Safety RegulationSystem.

A copy of the sample results must be recorded in the ventilation log book.

When are results reported?

Mine sites are required to electronically submit their atmospheric contaminant results within six weeks after the end of the sampling quarter.

Reporting an exceedance

If there is has been an exceedance for a contaminant, this needs to be notified at the same time as the atmospheric sampling report is submitted.

Lodging the record sheet

Submit samples via the Safety Regulation System only.
