Western Australia’s Kimberley is endowed with globally significant mineral and energy reserves, and is an important contributor to the State’s resource exports.

The Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) has released its annual snapshot of the Kimberley region’s resource industry.

The snapshot provides information on the department’s functions and a range of resource sector facts and figures. This includes data on resource production by Shire, and information on new and existing resource projects.

DMIRS publishes the snapshot throughout the Kimberley region to help residents and visitors understand the department’s broad roles, and to provide an overview of the region’s unique resource sector.
