September edition of DMP's environment eNewsletter is now available

The September edition of the Environment eNewsletter is now available.

This quarter’s newsletter highlights the release of the new onshore petroleum and geothermal industry guidelines and also provides an update on the Abandoned Mines Program pilot sites Black Diamond and Pro-Force, in addition to an update on the Ellendale Diamond Mine site.

The excitement is building for the department’s new Awards for Excellence night when the winners of this year’s Golden Gecko Awards for Environmental Excellence will be announced. With only four weeks to go until this celebrated event, discover who has been nominated and snap up your tickets before it’s too late.

In this edition the Environment Division is also calling for nominations for a new industry reference group for Mining Proposal Reform. The group is being established to work closely with the department to develop the shape and content of the new Guideline for Mining Proposals in Western Australia - April 2016.
