Free information session on diesel particulate research

Learn about the findings of two research projects
Date: Friday, 26 July 2019

The Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety will host a free information session on 29 July to discuss the findings of two research projects into nano diesel particulate matter (nDPM).

In 2016, the Mining Industry Advisory Committee (MIAC) commissioned the research projects into the physical-chemical properties of nDPM in an underground mine and the potential health effects on workers from exposure to nDPM.

The research has now been completed and results will be presented at the forum.

Principal employers, managers, safety and health personnel, and workers who are involved in underground mining operations are encouraged to attend the session which will run from 9am to noon at the Mineral House Theatrette, 100 Plain St in East Perth.

A video conference will also be held at the DMIRS Kalgoorlie Regional Office located on the corner of Hunter and Broadwood Streets in West Kalgoorlie.

Email your registration request, including the preferred location and any requirements, to SafetyComms@dmirs.wa.gov.au as seats are limited. More details at DMIRS Events.
