Mine site leaders come together to talk safety

Mines and Petroleum Minister Bill Johnston today officially opened the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety’s fourth annual Registered Managers Forum.

The event brings together mine managers, from across the State, to focus on a range of health and safety topics.

This year’s forum includes presentations and workshops on the changing competency landscape, upgrades to the online Safety Regulation System, and updates on key legislation and other safety and health guidance.

The forum is part of the department’s Towards 2020 regulatory strategy, which aims for a safe and healthy resources sector in Western Australia.
