Paper released on financial assurance for hydraulic fracturing

A Financial Assurance position paper has been released as part of the Implementation of the Government’s response to the Independent Scientific Panel Inquiry into Hydraulic Fracture Stimulation in Western Australia.

The paper outlines the State Government’s proposal for legislative amendments that will ensure accountability and an increased focus on environmental rehabilitation within the onshore petroleum industry.
