Step 3 Assessment Information (MRF)

Some terms defined:

Assessment Date is the date on which you collected the required information. It must fall within the levy period.

Disturbance Category is the category associated with the specified Type as defined in the Mining Rehabilitation Fund Regulations.

Disturbance Total(ha) is the total number of hectares which have been disturbed but not yet rehabilitated.

Rehabilitation Category is the category associated with the specified Type as defined in Schedule 1 of the Mining Rehabilitation Fund Regulations.

Rehabilitation Total(ha) is the total number of hectares on the tenement which is under rehabilitation at the Assessment Date.

RLE($) is the Rehabilitation Liability Estimate, from which the Levy Estimate is calculated. The RLE($) is calculated using the formula:

(Disturbance Category Unit Rate * Disturbance Total (ha)) + (Rehabilitation Category Unit Rate & Rehabilitation Total (ha)).

Mine Activity Reference is your description of the physical entity on the tenement and will be available to use across tenements where a physical entity crosses tenements.

Mine Activity Type is a description of infrastructure or land as defined in Schedule 1 of the Mining Rehabilitation Fund Regulations. The Rehabilitation Liability Category associated with the Type will then determine the per hectare unit rate.
