This page and the links below show you how to notify the Department the appointments of 'new' Health Representatives and Safety (HSRs) for a mine operation or Exploration Company.

External Security Roles required:  You will need either the Company Administrator or Company Representative security role for the 'Notifications' subsystem (Type: 'Position') in order to lodge and view notifications..  Contact your SRS Company Administrator of your mine or Exploration Company.  See security roles and access - SRS registrations.


Lodge New

Click New on the summary page.

Filters

Click 'Filters' to select and view required statutory functions on the summary page. 
Click Close.  View selected statutory functions in the grid.
Note:  Click 'Filters' select  'ALL', to reinstate available statututory functions

How do I obtain roles for a new Health and Safety Representative or update an existing one?

 
 

To lodge or update a Health and Safety Rep in SRS you will need relevant security roles under Notifications sub system (Type: Position).  Contact your SRS Company Administrator for your mine or Exploration Company.  For SRS security roles see SRS Registration - General.


Can a Health and Safety Rep be elected to multiple site operations (SG)  in a single submission?

Where a SHREP is to be elected to multiple SGs, they can be notified in one submission under the same combined operation.  Security roles are required for each of the mines (SG) to be able to add them.  See What is a Combined Operation.  

Can I delete a notification I have just started?

You can only delete a notification if it is in the status of 'Incomplete'. Click the Delete icon on the top left hand side of the wizard.
Click OK to accept.  The notification will be deleted.   

What notification will an elected HSR receive?

A notification package will be received via post / email. Health and Safety Reps will be automatically registered with a 'READ ONLY' security role for the Compliance (Audits, Notices and Inspections) for the mine, Exploration Company, they are elected to.  


 


Can a Health and Safety Rep view Audits, Inspection Notices and Inspection Records in SRS? 

Once registered, and provided a READ ONLY security role, elected HSR can view audits, inspections, notices and inspection records for the site operation (SG) or Exploration Company to which they are elected.  
 
A Health and Safety Rep has been discharged from their duties.  Who revokes their Compliance READ ONLY security role?

The Company Aministrator for Compliance (Audits and Notices) will need to revoke their security role from.

Who updates details of an existing Health and Safety Rep(s) in SRS?

With the SRS Company Administrator or Company Representative security role, you can  update the information and submit to the Department.  See how to Maintain existing details of Health and Safety Reps

Can I 'add', 'edit' multiple Health and Safety Reps in a single notification?

Yes.  Multiple Health and Safety Reps  can be updated using one lodgement.  Existing HSRs will be available under the 'Position Details'.  See how to Maintain existing HSReps.

Security roles apply.
1. You will require relevant security roles  (SRS Company Rep or Company Administrator) for each of the site operations (SGs).
2. Only site operations (SGs) under the same Combined Operation will be available fromthe dropdown. See Combined Operations.

A Health and Safety Rep has the same start/end date at multiple mines.    Will the details get updated across mines?

Where a Health and Safety Rep has the same start and end date at multiple mines (SG) under the same Combined Operation their details will be automatically updated across locations;
Where different start / end date at each site operation, the notifier will need to submit a separate notification for each of these SGs.
