Resources Online will soon be introduced as a new and secure digital solution to improve the efficiency of environmental applications under the Mining Act 1978 and State petroleum legislation.
This is a key deliverable of the department’s Fast Tracking Mining Approvals program, which aims to significantly expand and improve the digital capability of mining and petroleum environmental lodgements to the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DEMIRS).
The new platform will ultimately replace the current Environmental Assessment and Regulatory System (EARS) with a consolidated solution that provides a single user portal.
Once finalised, you will be able to submit, track and manage a number of mining and petroleum environmental lodgements to DEMIRS.
The implementation of Resources Online will be phased, with the portal launch and first release expected in September 2024. The below applications will be released in the following stages.
